The successful candidate will have good experience of providing welfare rights advice and proven ability to carry out comprehensive benefit checks to set deadlines. You will be confident in assisting and advising clients to claim the full range of benefits tailored to their needs.  The post holder will have good knowledge and understanding of social security legal framework and ability to represent clients in a tribunal setting, paper or oral hearing when required. You will have continuous training and development record of training from a known Independent Welfare rights trainers or welfare rights organisation and or gained expert knowledge from developing welfare rights skills from a previous role.

Be an excellent communicator (verbally and written) at all levels including IT, as you will work with a range of computer packages/systems. Ultimately, demonstrate excellent organisational skills and the ability to work independently, prioritise work as appropriate and manage a busy and demanding workload.

This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and will require an Enhanced DBS.
