You will have an understanding of the needs of families with children 0-5 years, knowledge of child development in the early years and an understanding of the barriers parents may face in accessing services.  The role requires flexibility and the ability to adapt to conflicting and changing priorities.

The post involves the management and supervision of volunteers. The post holder is required to maintain relationships with a wide range of staff and managers across a number of services and departments and with members of the public.


The successful candidate will have proven ability to work independently and meet deadlines. The post holder will require excellent communication skills and proven ability to manage and supervise volunteers from a wide range of backgrounds. Ability to interpret data, undertake evaluation, provide reports and use a wide range of IT systems and web based information is essential. Experience of working with families with children 0 - 5 years, organising and facilitating meetings and proven ability to deliver training activities and events for parents is required for the post.
