In this field, proven experience is essential, along with a professional, organised approach. You should be qualified to British Occupational Health Service standards P401, P402 and P405, and an expert in Control of Asbestos Regulations [2006]. With a firm grasp of HSG264 and an awareness of Health & Safety responsibilities, you’ll know how to design fire safety programmes and carry out inspections.

 

While technical knowledge is crucial, you’ll need to be good with people too. Happy dealing with residents, contractors and colleagues, you’ll know how to build relationships, solve problem creatively and express yourself well.
