To be considered for this vacancy it is essential that the post holder has an excellent working knowledge of MS Packages including Office 365, Skype for Business, Excel and Outlook including maintaining spreadsheets with up to date and accurate information. The ideal candidate will possess previous demonstrable experience in a similar post in a service or business support role within a Local Authority. You will have the ability to provide efficient and effective administrative support to a range of managers and work flexibly across the service on a range of activity to demonstrate initiative and problem solving skills. You will be an excellent communicator (both written and verbal) and possess the ability to liaise with customers and colleagues at all levels of seniority.  Experience of using procurement systems, including processing orders and payments using a wide range of methods in accordance with financial regulations. Excellent organisational skills will be required as you will be booking meetings with internal and external partners, minute taking experience, and follow up support. The ability to work with minimum supervision, to plan and prioritise, good time management and ability to work on your own initiative is a must as you will be juggling lots of demands.  Depending on the needs of the service you will need to be able to build good relationships with colleagues and partners, be able to adapt to change whilst providing excellent customer care at all times as you will be the first point of contact for service users.  A knowledge of data protection regulations is required and maintaining a high level of confidentiality as you will be dealing with both client and staff records and sensitive information.
