Salary: £35,913 to £41,657

Contract Type: 2x Permanent, full time, 36 hours per week

Camden is one of the most thriving areas for the arts in Europe and is home to many of the UK’s leading arts and cultural organisations.  Camden’s Arts and Tourism team manages strategic developments for creative activity in the borough the hire of public spaces for events, filming, outside broadcast and photography in the borough and delivers a range of creative programming across physical and digital platforms.


As part of this exciting role you will coordinate and support the delivery of many Camden initiatives including but not exclusive to; Cultural Framework, Cultural Partnership, Camden’s Cultural  Educational  Partnership (SPARK) the Annual Programme, Swiss Cottage Gallery, Art Collection, public art S106 initiatives, Love Camden, social value initiatives for cultural sector training and employment, film service support, resident led and co-created art programmes , income generating initiatives and strategic growth of tourism through destination marketing

To be successful in this role you will already possess a strong understanding of the strategic context of local government and the place of cultural services and tourism in the delivery of corporate objectives.


You will have a demonstrable understanding of the cultural planning agenda and an ability to influence, shape and draft cultural policy. Developing relationships and building partnerships with key stakeholders is essential to the role including but not exclusive to: regional and central government and other local authorities, education providers (e.g. Camden’s Cultural Education Partnership (SPARK) Central St. Martins) private sector, BIDs and community leaders to ensure a co-ordinated approach to the strategic development of creative cultural and tourism sectors in the borough.
