Salary: £35,913 - £41,657 per annum


Contract Type: Permanent, Full time, 36 hours per week

We are seeking to recruit strong, highly motivated Social Workers in our Support and Safeguarding Adult Service. This is a dynamic and challenging role, which puts the customer at the heart of service delivery, providing excellent social work practice, which promotes independence, choice and control and offers advice, care and support to a range of vulnerable adults with social care needs in the borough. Due to exciting new developments we can now offer the right kind of people with passion, flare and commitment the opportunity to join our experienced friendly team.


We are developing a strengths based approach to practice across Adult Social Care and are particularly interested to receive applications from those who are committed to helping develop this approach with our residents and partners.

The successful candidate’s will be working in a multi-disciplinary team, you will be expected to manage your own workload and resources, and you will undertake assessments of risk, need and capacity and respond appropriately to support the service user in the community or hospital.


You will have the skills to respond appropriately to unexpected events and crisis and have the ability to recognise signs of harm, abuse and neglect and how to manage these issues.


You must have a thorough understanding of current legislation and how it applies to the work of the profession including understanding the prevailing needs, whilst to promote the best interests of service users and carers at all times.


This is a challenging role that requires the ability to work under pressure as an individual and as part of a team.


We are seeking practitioners with:


• Awareness of risk

• Knowledge of multi-disciplinary community work

• Excellent assessment skills


This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and will require an Enhanced DBS.
